Today, in a large press conference, self-professed "Luckiest Man Alive" Quentin Ohmega made a landmark announcement at the unveiling of his new 777 Casino and Arena in the heart of Las Vegas. With him was Jessica Redd, a former professional wrestling valet, now Ohmega's CFO for his 777 Championship Wrestling. Here is a dictation of his speech:
"Hello everyone, nice to see you, and it is a wonderful blistery August day here in Sin City, isn't it? Many of you probably don't know me, so let me get that out of the way. My name is Quentin Ohmega, and I am the Luckiest Man Alive. No, that is not my birth name, but it sure is my name now. My story is also less unique. I was a wash-out, a drunk, and a failure. I was divorced, twice, and left basically broke and alone because of those bad habits. Figuring death wasn't far, I decided 'what the hell,' packed up what little I had in my poor little Chevy Celebrity and drove from my hometown to Las Vegas, $400 all I had left in my pockets.
That $400 became $400,000 in one night. That $400,000 became $4,000,000 in a month. And that $4,000,000 became a new home, seven new cars, two planes, and this beautiful casino and arena behind me, as well as a spot on the Forbes Top 20 richest men in the United States in just under seven months. And all of that will become even more with my new venture: 777 Championship Wrestling.
I love Wrestling. I always have, always will. And I know it can make money. So, in the spirit of high risk and high reward my new hometown has inspired, I'm bringing a new kind of Professional Wrestling to Sin City. It will be one based on REAL sports, where wins and losses matter, where champions make THOUSANDS, and where anyone worth his weight is going to want to compete.
With the new arena, we will be debuting a new show, Jackpot, on the DiY network, because that IS my motto. Do. It. Yourself. And the first episode will feature the beginnings of a brand new era in the business, with a massive Battle Royal and the beginning of a Double Elimination Gold Rush tournament to crown the first ever 777 Heavyweight Champion, which does come with $1,000,000 attached!
Stay tuned. Now, let's cut that ribbon, Miss Redd."
We'll bring you all the news about any major signings to this new company as we get it.
