A brief character history: Little is known about the leather-mask wearing Grundy beyond what's been pieced together from his own ramblings. He seems to have been raised in the woods somewhere in the South by his abusive and controlling mother to whom he has an unwavering devotion. At some point he set out into the world at her command and found himself in the world of pro wrestling. At first he was taken advantage of because of his innocence and ignorance but this soon unlocked his dangerous and violent side. Driven to lashing out by fear, anger, and other emotions he can't properly process, he was able to find success tearing through indy rosters in brutal fashion. This caught the attention of 777 Championship Wrestling's Jessica Redd, who very carefully persuaded him to come to the company.
