A brief character history:
Born into a wrestling family, Peter Orwell Vincent has been around the ring his entire life. Once he became old enough, he took all that he had learned from years of watching and put it into action by entering his first ever wrestling match; and was promptly disappointed.
None of his opponents seemed to have the same wrestling discipline that Peter had. Match after match he found each opponent lacking in strength, determination, and, worst of all, skill. This simply wouldn't do. Unable to find suitable competition in his local circuits, and not wanting to simply be gifted a shot at the big-time by virtue of his family connections, Peter sought out the stiffest competition that he could think of: the Olympics.
Peter trained for months and was given the top spot on the men's U.S. National Olympic team. Finally, all the work he had put in would be validated, and Peter would be able to face worthy opponents.
Again, he was disappointed.
With his longest match lasting a mere 78 seconds (a majority of which was spent with Peter having to chase down his opponent), Peter had spent more time waiting for matches to start than he did in the ring by the time the games had finished. Having crushed his competition so completely, the Olympic committee awarded Peter his Platinum Medal (which has suspiciously never been given to any other Olympian before or since), and strongly insisted that he not compete in any future games to "encourage the participation of the international community in future Olympic games".
Without anywhere else to practice his craft, "Platinum" Peter Vincent set his sights back on his hometown which, while he was away, had decided to become the home of the latest wrestling federation. In learning more about the 777, Peter found an excitement he hadn't felt since the first time he had entered the ring. With the 777's win-to-earn pay model, he would SURELY face worthy competition. In this environment, he could truly have his wrestling ability tested and, once he was on top, he'd be able to usher in a new era of wrestling: the PLATINUM era!!!
